Spreading smiles at church

Good afternoon! I hope your day is going well! Today's random acts of kindness were focused on smiles at church. I left inspirational notes in a few random member mailboxes before church service began. Hopefully they will see the notes after church and it will brighten their day a bit. I wanted to make sure one of the notes went in Pastors mailbox. As a Registered Nurse myself, I know that a profession focused on helping others can sometimes feel like a thankless job. We become so dedicated to caring for others, that we often forget that we matter as well. We constantly have to be reminded that we are allowed to put ourselves first from time to time. So I left the following note specifically for him:

After church, I spent some time talking with a good friend. We shared our trials and triumphs from the past few weeks as we hadn't seen one another. When she learned about some monetary concerns I was having, she offered to buy me a Diet Dr. Pepper. She is well aware of my DDrP addiction and how I was worried about getting through the day without my caffeine since I didn't want to spend the money. After politely declining her offer three times, she insisted that she drive me across the street to the gas station and buy me the beverage. She was so persistent, I couldn't refuse. This made my day. This goes to show how such a small gesture can go a long way. It meant so much to know that someone was so willing to help me in my time of need. Not to mention, I don't have to deal with a caffeine headache all day. Thank you Lisa! I am blessed to have a friend like you in my life

Who did you make smile today?
